The city of Bonn has important state functions. More than 20 federal agencies, including the Federal Cartel Office and the Federal Audit Office are based here.

Numerous national and international organizations established themselves here. At the same time Bonn is extended to the city of international cooperation, science and research as well as future-oriented economy.

The former house of deputies "Langer Eugen" is intended to be the center of the UN Campus. 15 UN agencies and national and international organizations form a new center for international cooperation.
 
The new homes on the Museum Mile develop into crowd pullers. The Art and Exhibition Hall, the Museum of Contemporary History of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kunstmuseum Bonn, the German Museum Bonn and the Museum Koenig attract a whole year more than two million visitors.

UN Campus

Since July 1996, Bonn can call itself the United Nations city. In July 2006, the new official residence ("Langer Eugen") of the United Nations was given in Bonn to the then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

United Nations Square

The United Nations Square is the hub of the A 562 (South Bridge) with the B 9 in Bonn. In recognition of the United Nations are at this highway junction flags courts all 191 Member States.
